This is a tune that I wrote while grappling with the process of finding my place in this world and still maintaining a direction that for me cultivated my spiritual integrity. It is sometimes a difficult balance to find, and yet I feel it strikes at the core of what this amazing human experience is about for me: never giving up on our dreams for self and societal improvement. I want to live in a world where everybody works together but still feels free
I want to live in a world where there ain’t nobody trying to hurt me
I want to wake up each day to the realization it’s a miracle
I want to lay down each night with the satisfaction that my life is full

But sometimes it feels I’m so far away from the dream
Now I realize that’s only the way, the way that it seems
